vague to-do lists
looming deadlines
portent emails
whimsical meetings
perhaps these are what you call a “stress”
but in the end
life is short.
do what matters to you.
all else shall follow.

come, stay and let's talk. it's a good day to be alive
I pray I don’t sway
by praise nor blame
that I stay away
from temptatious ways
that I’ll stay true
regardless of whether others will see through
I pray that there will be light
that there will be laughter and smile
diligent work built on trust
humble honesty weaving a society just
hopeful in dreams of eventual reunion
teeming with faithful heart for a communion.

notice the light, the shadow, and shapes
have you noticed how much time has passed?
many things have happened
while there wasn’t much time for pondering
flippant words in my writing troubles me
while my dear heart yearns to rumble again
are you still alive?
If you are, I’d like to see you write again
not a superficial one,
but one that’s deeper, heavier, and moving.

it really depends on what light you see things
under the glorious morning sunshine
all you see may be despair and pain
in darkest days of the year
you might find hope in small sparkling lights
how do you see the world now?
how will this moment be remembered?
what do you want it to be?
between things we can control
and things we cannot control
there is a fine line of freedom

how long does it take for you to breath in
how long does it take to recognize a face
how long does it take to take a step forward?
notice it.
then you can start your imagination
how far can you walk a day, a month, a year?
how many dots can you connect for a solution?
how many days, years to get to where you want to be?
if the calculation is done
and you have enough faith in it
take a deep breath.
then, move.
believe.
