they smelled the traces I left behind
fear has a strong stench to all but one with it
the shadows of them looming ever larger
unknown, unseen, unfathomable fangs grow bigger
but one must remember
“ash to ash”
for what do you have to lose after all?
it’s a life that was granted as an extra.
