Lasting graces

let us sweat when we can;
build the work that may go unseen
help that may not be reciprocated
though there are many sweets and beauts
I know who I am; and what I am called to:
the reason to raise the body from the ground
the joy in the hustle with fellow companions
and appreciation of small things
such as the whistle of a bird
amongst breezy autumn forest
glorious descent of graceful sun through horizon
I am humbly thankful for these graces.

Butterfly

thank you for stopping by
your scent has been wonderful
I even dreamed the past days of passion
where I thought I was truly alive
or perhaps it was the only time I was truly alive
hahahahaha
what does it matter?
I live my own life.
if you come, come.
if you want to go, go.
I will live my life at my own measure of best effort
I will push my own boundaries of limits
and keep striving to become better than yesterday
I will pay the cost, I will live my life.
good luck.

Dear younger self

it is alright. it is alright.
it is okay to let those tears fall.
it is okay to feel the pain
grabbing the core of your chest
and let that bawling late at night
when everyone’s asleep.
it’s alright. that’s right.
swim even when you feel numb in your limbs
slowly, slowly, your body will start warm up
and when you raise your head above water
you’ll see how glorious the red yolk of the sun is
rising through the solemn horizon
you’ll see, you’ll see.
it’s gonna be alright.

Blinking evolution

even before the fractional moment
I absent-mindedly close my eyes
new frame of paradigm slips into mind
like a long shadow of a late summer afternoon
like a slip of paper slid under the door
sequence of mind frame evolution takes place
slowly revealing of what a mind can do
when a call is heard for a moment of serendipity.

Sunset encounter

it was, albeit brief, a bright encounter
the wind was blowing the right way
the nostalgic sun light laid down warmly
as if written in the book,
as if it is the time to turn a page,
we arrived here: finally — quickly —
eye contact; flash of timid smile;
a question; a surprise; more thinking;
a bit; a burst of laughter;
explosion of emotions;
and then it came to an end —
with it, starts a dream of another rendez-vous
within you

Memory

I told myself I will remember you
but I wonder if you do the same
I wonder if our lives were a little different
If we had chosen a path for a safe road
whether we would have lived a different life
but perhaps we are living a life of “what if”
this very second could be one
we would have really wanted to have lived.
to have seen wonders in life,
and to have risked it all in an ephemeral moment
telling ourselves that nothing will change:
I have no regrets.
although the memory is fading away
regardless of how hard I hold on to it
I have no regrets.
I just wished I could hold onto this a little longer.
