Once in awhile
stop chasing after the expectations.
Linger a little longer
and wonder what brought the spark in you.

Stomach’s rumbling,
gas is brooding,
nausea is ever-lingering,
and the pain is unforgiving.
Must I face this fate?
But then again, do I have a choice?
