goes a long way.
a good faith in companion
did not last long.
unfortunate, I felt,
inevitable, I knew.
what can we do?

I will look at the part of horizon
where I am headed to.

I am shaking my legs out of a bad habit
words are running through my mind nonstop
jaws are clenched, neck is stiff, eyes are strained
my breath is forced, ruggedly inhaling, exhaling
then it pops into my head like a red stop
‘what are you doing now?
enough of your excuses.
now is the time to wake up
try fooling others, you might
but don’t try to fool yourself.
be honest.
be brutally honest.
now is the time to live,
to lead your own life.
don’t look away.’
it is still dark outside

but eventually

an inception of an idea starts
and the world transforms
or is it I that is transforming?
from the moment I open my eyes
to the moment I close them
the world proceeds like a program
as I have coded them last night.
World of a dream,
or a dream of the world?
I wonder.

there is a story
we don’t know if it is true
but the moment we start believing in it
it becomes true.
it’s a story we write with our own life
against the standards beyond our control
with which posterior will judge us
let it be then
our blood and sweat to be the witness
to our own storytelling.

did you know the life was so fickle,
that it would be a burst of flame,
and blazing trails through atmosphere,
until one early morning under the dawn
like the stoic statue on a mountain
overlooking a bustling city
you stop moving.
only the second before the moment
should you relish the process
and it will all have been worthwhile.

for those who have exhausted everything
under the broad day light,
is there a word for them?
a word to describe
what they have seen,
what they have felt,
and what they have chosen to do?
to live each day,
with both eyes wide open,
bearing thousands of battle scars,
to remember all that have happened
it may be too much of a toll to be burdened with.
nevertheless, we stay awake,
to seek the truth,
to be responsible for our entity,
and to adhere to our belief and principles.
let both levity and gravity be in unity.

underneath the murky discontent,
I wonder what’s causing my unwillingness
to continue the work that I want to do.
is it the slow frostbite of loneliness?
is it the dessiccation of gratitude?
At home, it’s too hard to work.
I need a better control of “break time”

it is like a magic
when you can suddenly remember
every minute detail of past sceneries
when you can live in the present
and vividly recall what had happened in past
truly grateful for this happenchance
wonder what will be remained of this day
in the far further.

it was as if the sky had cleared
by a water fall of shooting stars
across the stratosphere
a hot, thundering roar passed by.
what’s left is reverberating, spacious, and cool.
like an ironclad hammered
in smouldering ember,
cooled in deep blue ocean,
my head was clear like deep space,
full of wonders, possibilities, and unknowns
my heart willingly churning
for more adventures.
suddenly, all my fears became jokes
for hearty laughters.
what gives?
will this last?
I am just grateful to have a glimpse
through this window of clarity.
