I now have a dream
I feel alive, even
the harshes words
won’t hurt me
life has already started,
so why not play less safe
and let it blossom
whether you like it or not
there is an expiration date
so go on
let things happen

Rise Up
rise up, rise up! you fool!
now is not the time to brood
now is the time to rise!
rise, my brother!
you’ve got a fighter inside you
you’ve got a fire inside your soul
rise up and fight!
fight for your dream,
fight for your beloved ones.

Soup
tired, dragging my spent luggage
back to my quarter
I lay on my corner and wait.
as the bell tolls,
crows starts to rally
along the narrow lines.
chopped and diced lumps
of potatoes, onion, goes down
boiling, boiling.
scent of the soup,
the atmosphere of crows’ stares,
let us enjoy this soup,
for tomorrow is another unknown day.

Tide
feet are sunk into the wet sand
white bubbling tide wave sweeps in
washing away the dirt and nakedness
I stand here, openly.
waiting for you to move.

Hope
perhaps it’s not the end after all
perhaps the winter flower enters hall
of train cars, rumbling, carrying all
towards the destination brighter than tall
statue staring from the above all

World
I stared up
out of blue
just to stare at the sky
golden ray of sun
showered onto trees
and brick buildings
I blinked a couple times
observing passerby
moving seamlessly
I felt the touch of the wind
I felt my feet on the ground.
I felt my arms moving on my sides.
then I thought about you.
I am here, alive.
you are there, alive.
how miraculous is it
that we are both alive
at this time and this place?

Hike
there are many peaks to attack
but only one set of feet to hike
studiously climbing haphazardous mountains
you would think that it would be only a day
yet the peaks are ever further away
brooding crows perched in tree branches
quick sand giving away the ground
one too many are the hostilities here
carry lightly and stay awake
bears and snakes are nearby and home is a far way to go.

Guardian
I’ll be there for you
when the whole world
gets larger and heavier
you feel smaller and slower
I’ll be there for you
when the darkness pays a visit
seeping through the gaps of barriers
sending down the chills in the air
I’ll be there for you
because I like the way you smile
because I believe in your hidden warmth
because I really enjoy our time together.

Remnant
Running, running, running away
trying to outrun the bullet I fired,
but it’s as fast as the speed of time.
Crying, still trying every waking minutes
under the unforgiving sun so grand to make do
but it’s in the shadows of the memory so clear
in the end, the only way out is to bite the bullet, stare squarely into the eyes of the lions, and pay what is due.

Charcoal
it’s that something in her eyes
dark crystals washed with fjor,
something that cannot be muddied with words
only truth shall pass through those gates
I stared deeper into my own,
wondering if there is more than what I can make out of things. Something, that moves faster than I can detect, is read by her eyes. Hoping there’s a happy beginning from the days of testament, I take another step.
