Cut

walking in darkness,
mountain-high giants
silently all appear around.
‘can you make the cut?’ they ask.

‘sure why not’ I answer
while my standard still glows
I stare at my hands both
bloodied by both fresh and old scars

Apologies

Apologies.
I must go where I’ve set my eyes on
carousel around the paradox
had been a joyride while it lasted.

I remember my roots.
I remember my promises.
I remember my comrades.
I remember my angels.

Apologies.
But I must go where I’ve set my eyes on
Pushing all that blocks my path
Keeping truth in my heart.

Many

one amongst many,
but neighbor sowed envy,
tempted to keep the parry,
yet fairytale is all but empty

humble stroll may be healthy
yet crumbled breads may be wary
but merry be the steady
ready for the sunrise gently

Drum

onslaught of fear in thin air
merciless march of clock needle
felt heavily on wrinkles of skin

yet the rising yolk of the sun
blossoming beyond the curve of the earth
drums the blood through the veins

rise, rise again
rise, rise again

Blister

have you ever held something so tightly
that tiny soft red blisters bulged on quietly
when it was yanked away from your fist?

have you ever clawed your way on a cliff
with nothing but your bare tender fingers
not feeling the remains of bursted blisters?

have you ever ran towards the fire
forgetting everything before the reminder
that you, too, was once a tender dreamer?

Globular

I ran until the time morphed the space.
the familiarity of the past,
the mystery of the future,
blended into a globular furniture.

the pouring of memory does not stop.
will ricocheting droplets of the raindrop
recall its home enshrined in mists
thousands of kilometers above in space?

Pebbles

I threw a pebble into the ocean.
it reverberated back to my feet.
I threw a couple more into the water.
it frizzled and wrinkled into a fleet.

I kept the pebbles in my fist.
the ocean spoke in waves.
I opened my fist and let the pebbles drop and roll.
They rolled and rolled until they’ve become drops of sands.
