everyday I wake up from my bed
I felt blessed, guess it’s best to express
thank all who helped me get past
last regrets, and test my inner strength
yes, everyone, thanks to your help
I am here with my best self.

Dance
if you could dance
how would you dance?
would you risk everything
and throw yourself to the floor?
would you take your time
and lean in to the earth’s pull?
would you hold onto someone
and sail together to the rhythm?
would you hop, bounce, spin, and tap
to the signals of the world acquiesced by all?
I wonder.
I wonder.

Tempo
sometimes, sprinting like rock n’ roll
sometimes, bouncy like rhythmic beats
sometimes, smooth like créma bossa nova
we march on like flaming lions
scorching our path with our work
only to looking forward
letting others to witness our legacy

A thousand mile walk
I took the first step
then, the next moment
I found myself in a tunnel
walking steadily in a puzzle.
calm, peaceful, azure air dawned overhead
like a sponge soaking in a summer bath
solemn solitude, dignified repose
slowly, and surely, the sun sets apropos
promising glistening dews of morning
talking a light walk into the darkness, humming

Prudence
you may ask, why volunteer to suffer
and yes, shoulders gets heavy and hot
but diamonds are born to be tougher
to face squarely into scorching fire and fight
for the moment to come,
the Big Bang of the most minuscule grain
in an instant, an incomprehensible one.
so I rise, through the mud, into the rain.

Destination
as surely as I can remember
I am still running
as steadily as I can muster
my will to keep on going
yet it evades grasps of my memory
where I had been running towards
for whatever reason I tell myself a story
there’s a glorious end afterwards
so I wake up, to greet unforgiving sunshine
raising my body, once again looking for shift in paradigm

Slippery
slippery roads are easy to drive
you just sit still and pass by
strangers, traffic lights, alone
in your car, as you go
really, really fast
and it is fun till at last
world collapses in heat;
unexpected, but an inevitable feat.
so wear your seatbelt
look for the road to commonwealth.

Calm
the ice floated across the river;
for a while it lingered
momentarily as if it was dreaming
in the middle of the desert swimming
through thousands and millions of grains
of white snow flakes waiting to melt in rain;
but, for now, it’s calmly glaring into the sky
counting its blessings, staring into the eye
of the sunset,
the inevitable end.

Warmth
that hint of grinning
that I catch a glimpse
across the miles of smooth surface
like vast waves a washed under sun’s grace
I wonder how I shall pray tonight
grateful for moment of warmth that delights

Unquenchable
liquid nitrogen can burn
nitrogen glycerine can burst
we could’ve been breathable air
but no, our dreams must be shared
as we drink our bitter sour black liquid
thrusting ourselves against the limit
