Albeit momentary, it felt good.
To smile, to laugh, and to talk,
to be understood and to understand,
to see each other in the eye and breath,
to look into each other’s mind and lean in.
It was a delightful moment in life.

If you keep digging deeper, faster enough,
you will reveal what is hurtful to your soul.
Unstoppable and irretrievable, it will churn.
Its growling grip keeping your eyes
searching for a respite.
Wrestling with it, you will learn to master it.
Once you have come out the other side,
You will have the eyes to see beyond surface,
hear the rhythm of the past, into the future,
and spine to withstand it all, with wisdom.
Keep your eyes set forward, and dig on.

Our love was tangible.
And it still resides inside.
It will grow and transform,
a foundation to another wonder.
But it’s undeniable it started here.
So I am grateful for the time we had.
I will carry it in my heart on my journey,
and bring a brighter light to the world,
letting them know what we had was good,
and that I am elevating this to the next level.

하지만 달콤한 속삭임보단 좋았다.

곰곰이 생각할 틈도 없이
정신이 번쩍 들게
그대의 싸다구는 내 뺨을 내려쳤다.
그대에게 감사하다.

그 세상 모두가 뭐라한들

Whether to get out of bed or lay down for 15 more minutes. Whether to cook scrambled eggs or have last night’s leftover curry. Whether to sit down in front of the computer and work on the project you’ve been mulling over for the past 10 years or just turn on the phone and flick through anxiety-inducing news articles. Big or small, we make decisions.

큰 그림을 맞춰가는 퍼즐이 즐거웠어요.
조금씩 조각을 맞춰가고
새로운 그림을 찾아내고
다른 이들의 조각들과
내 조각들을 모아보는것도 즐거웠어요.
고마워요. 내게 이런 길을 줘서.
사랑하는 이들을 만날 수 있게 해줘서.

나와 함께 해주어서 고마워.
혼자이었던 나를 찾아와 줘서 고마워.
진흙탕에 빠져있는 내게 손을 내어줘서 고마워.
이젠 끝이라고 생각했던 내게 다시 희망을 줘서 고마워.
다시 일어날 수 있는 힘을 줘서 고마워.
작은 것들의 대한 감사함을 일깨워 줘서 고마워.
덕분에 많은 것들을 이룰 수 있었고
감사한 기억들도 만들 수 있었어.
앞으로 계속 나아가자, 우리.

마치 다시 너를 마주하는것 같아.
앞만 보고 달렸더니 어느새
여기까지 왔네.
휘황찬란한 질주이었어.
우리가 바라보던 이상과는 조금 다르지만
나는 우리의 꿈을 나름대로 그려봤어.
솔직하게 말하면 최근엔 조금 잊으려고도 해봤어.
현실에 맞춰 살아가자고, 일단 살고 보자고 그랬어.
그런데 그게 아니더라. 그렇게 안되더라.
나, 다시 그 꿈을 쫒아갈까봐.
우리의 심장을 뛰게 해주었던 그 꿈을.
되돌이킬 수 없는 과거에서 이젠 머물지 않고
다시 그 꿈을 짊어지고 앞으로 나아가갈꺼야.
그 안에 있는 희망, 사랑, 즐거움 그 모든걸 안고
만나는 사람들에게 전해줄꺼야.
그 행복한 순간은 헛된게 아니게 될꺼야.
고마워, 같이 꿈을 키워줘서.
지켜봐줘.

덕분에 오늘 하루를 버텼어
잠시 옛날 생각을 하다가
시간의 무게를 느꼈어.
내가 좀 더 힘내볼게
난 할 수 있다고 생각해.
보이지 않는 우리의 연결고리가 있다고 믿어.
우리들의 행복한 시간들을 기억하고 싶어.
그 행복을 지키기 위해
더욱더 많은 행복을 키우기 위해
앞으로 나아가고 싶어.

옆뒤 돌아보지도 않고 달리다 보니
내 머리 위로 구름이 덮인줄 모르고 있었어.
잠시 길을 잃었지만
감사하게도 따스한 햇살이 내리기 시작했고
또 다시 일어서고 있어.
너에겐 밝은 모습을 보여주고 싶단다.
너에겐 힘이 되어주고 든든한 지원이 되고 싶단다.
너에게 빛이 되어주고 싶단다.
조금씩, 서서히 그렇게 되도록 나아가고 있어.
나의 사랑아, 이젠 내가 다가갈게.
너의 미소를 보고 싶구나.
너의 웃음을 듣고 싶구나.
너와 같은 거리를 걷고 싶구나.
