Flash

Rain drips from the dark cloudy night, starting a monologue of a stoic gloom.

Suddenly, a flash — a thin silver lightening dashing across the night — brightens, albeit momentarily.

Who is the person that received the lightening?

Whoever it was,

Faced the hot, electrifying volcanic energy

Grappled with its fractious momentum,

I wonder if they had a good fight worth wagering their life.

Paper

As if it was poked with a sharp metal stick,

My left thigh suddenly buzzed and squeezed its muscle downwards

‘Am I dreaming now?’ Is someone poking in my brain while I am asleep?

Then I began to suspect the clear blue sky, perfectly round soft-looking clouds, and pixels of green leaves flickering sunlight in a wave when the breeze passes by.

Am I awake? More grumbled I was, as I imagined all the goods that could have been deprived of me.

Then I continued reading about romans learning the new ways from the greek, and how one of the greek was so stubborn that they drove themselves to the death.

I wrote: I live, for there is a justice that I must defend. I live, for there is the ultimate truth somewhere in this world I am conscious. I live, for what I am certain I know of.

It’s another fight.

Sides

Though it’s painful,

We must walk the walk, like

Walking on the waves of ocean,

Walking on crackling volcano lava stones,

Walking on the thorniest cactus farm.

Perhaps the mirror that projects this pain

Perhaps reflects what’s inside all along

Singing a melancholy song of independence

Still, let me walk the walk,

For the end of journey is not now

So will anyone know the truth after all

Not over

Battery has long run out

Bones have become brittle,

Joints have worn out

Lungs are gasping for more air.

But fight goes on like a wildfire in

Your backyard, never letting

Your mind off of it, it consumes

Everyday a little bit of your mind.

Look into the soul of those fire.

Those battles hat we must fight

Raising flags and swords,

We dance together in this flame.

The end

Make it your friend, your tombstone
After all, it’s your last bed mattress
Laying your head for one last time
In the end, one must finally rest.

So now: strive. Invigorating heart
Widening eyelids, breath in scents
Of life, confess your love in human
Beings, swim upstream to flow of
Time.

Make your death
your friend.
Do not be afraid.

Chewing Gum

img_7302
at downtown DigInn

Just as time floats in a siesta,
Your life may pass by
Like a bubble gum gulped
Without chewing it once.

Chew it.
Grind it, throw it around, and stretch
As far as you dare to. You’ve got
One chance.

When the juice is out
And your jaw’s hurting much

Balloon a bubble so wide
You might even have seen it
In your dreams.

And then chew it again.
