life is short, in retrospect.
everything changes too,
contrary to expectations & wishes.
as people and places ebbs and webs,
sensing when is the time to let go
and when is the time to get a grip
is a serene balance.
may there be a courage to move forward
with faith in heart
hopefully leading to a peaceful night.

more than the boundaries of the body,
it is the boundary of the mind that hinders.
once we try — and fail — we recognize it
every day, we strive to be freer,
to experience who we truly are.

accept the difference

and understand their perspectives.

one day it will work out.

when you have built a castle on top of a cloud
shake it all down, let them fall crashing down
once you are done crying over them
build them back up
one by one
forget about the worries
forget about the fears
focus on each brick
then one day,
you’ll see you castle again
founded on a firm ground
and you will find happiness
and contentment for yourself.

and less be angry or sad.
in spite of all the philosophies and rules,
in a way, principles and values are there
to make you happy, I think.

instead of asking why we are here,
why don’t we deal with what we have?
instead of post-mortem dissection of the past
let’s imagine what the future can be
and when we can, let’s talk a little softer,
smoother, and gentler
while we squarely face the inconvenient truth
it’s going to be worthwhile.

some may say it’s not cost-effective
but I hold on
because of a possibility
piercing through this transparent veil
and reach a life I’ve been dreaming of.
it’s the spice behind my smile
it’s the final grip at the end of the day
that believe in this possibility.

early morning, I read a note by an erudite:
“curiosity is the key.”
it sparked a notion I deliberately obscured.
curiosity is unforgiving, yet a graceful path
it has taken many and then given me much
perhaps life is too short for it.
yet, it dances in the universe to make life alive.
I am convinced for now,
it is a way of life worth living.
