the tradition we uphold
the values we protect
the principles we abide by
perhaps may perish
in a blink of an eye
but what say you
to dive into the fray
against the odds
and see what may become
of the world we see today?

come, stay and let's talk. it's a good day to be alive
the tradition we uphold
the values we protect
the principles we abide by
perhaps may perish
in a blink of an eye
but what say you
to dive into the fray
against the odds
and see what may become
of the world we see today?

I won’t know the future now,
but I hope that it will be meaningful
a prudent one, one that will be virtuous
and one that will benefit many others as well
yes, survival and flourishing matters,
but the intangible laws of the world,
the principle that I abide by
and effort that goes into pursuit of actualisation
will be there too.
not just for me, you, us, but also for our future.

when a sweet scent of spring
hit my cheeks and disapeared
I froze, numbed by the shock so sudden
then I recalled the softness hidden
under layers of kind gestures
revealing serene and honorable overture
a beginning of an adventure
a courageous journey into brighter future

sleeping elephants march down the street.
slowly, but firmly, serene ritual greet
the gentle blue dusk of a spring evening
as solemn witnesses to all living beings.
As chilly breeze softly careens
baby elephants to sweet dreams
elder elephants leads the helm
tracing the remnants of glorious realm.

I took the first step
then, the next moment
I found myself in a tunnel
walking steadily in a puzzle.
calm, peaceful, azure air dawned overhead
like a sponge soaking in a summer bath
solemn solitude, dignified repose
slowly, and surely, the sun sets apropos
promising glistening dews of morning
talking a light walk into the darkness, humming

as surely as I can remember
I am still running
as steadily as I can muster
my will to keep on going
yet it evades grasps of my memory
where I had been running towards
for whatever reason I tell myself a story
there’s a glorious end afterwards
so I wake up, to greet unforgiving sunshine
raising my body, once again looking for shift in paradigm

memories of joy are fading
only pain seems to resemble a feeling
I once believed in
ever so tightly to win
a gamble I knew little of
a sin I had been atoning for
… do not ask for forgiveness.
just repay with your actions.

tobacco, I’ve vowed to quit you
perhaps you’re a seal I must keep
as long as I live, even then there is few
reason to believe, for a good night sleep
I will heave, these boulders of burden
weaving a tread of history of one human
