Chocolate
A bar of chocolate had already melted in my hands.
Although no longer in its stoic stick form,
I asked it to be delivered to the one
who had shared a secret fire into my heart.
A rebel recognized a fellow rebel,
and prayed that we will cross our path again some day.

Perspective
As the number of years accumulate,
impossibly thin layers veils my eyes
warping the meanings behind minute details.
Once, I had rebuked them as sentimentalism
But now I look back at it and wonder
if this is what matters in the end.
A new chapter opens,
and flash of light signals the beginning of yet another race.
Hopefully, it’s in the warmth we find in these small details
that we can rest our souls at the end of the line.

Eyes
It’s been awhile since I glimpsed into your eyes.
Like the autumn sky, they were deep and dark,
As I stand in the middle of the earth,
I wondered what our moment meant.
A number of universes came and went
like the white tile on a Rubik’s cube.
I embraced my brown faux-leather jacket tightly
and continued to walk down the road.

Which way must I go?
The longer I wait, the more I realize I have limited space.
What must I do now?
The passion, the righteousness, and the purpose
just a touch away from my finger tip.
What would I enjoy?
In the end, what will I find pride in?
How will I choose my day, and how will I write the history?

Like the scenery out the window of a train,
a lot has passed by in a blur.
But the feeling of the speed
as I propelled thousands of meters per second
is the one I vividly remember.
I believe we can soar again.
Once more,
we will meet again.

Hammer the blisteringly hot iron
even as the peaceful breeze passes by.
Weeping willows lackadaisically sweeping side to side will wonder
what may have gotten in to you.
Keep your head down,
eyes focused on the glowing crimson ore.
Listen to your pumping heart,
and know that you are alive,
beating against the stillness.

figure out how to get them done,

to keep your saliva from drooling down your lips,
