yes, it’s a tidal wave of mountainous force
the world as known before is shattering
the firm ground giving away into a void
like a tornado, it’ll pull you into a vortex
faster and deeper into the darkness

but overcome this no matter what it takes.
for there will be a day with a beautiful sun
a peaceful calm blue sky over the head
and you will see a smile
on the most beautiful face
you have ever seen.

Dreams

when you decide to fly,
what you notice first is
darkness underneath your feet

telling you “I’ve been there, it’s all gonna work out”
isn’t going to sound much help
ease that brewing cold anxiety

but look into my eyes:
I show you that I lived through my fair share
what yours will be, let it be the world to show you

brother, dream.
dream big.
big enough to rule this fear.
