Star
one is enough
among the many, one is enough.
enough to fill the heart with sunset
enough to feel the touch deep in the chest
one is enough among the many.
so, stop dozing off in that corner of the room.
get up, and brace yourself for a parade
one day your chance will come too soon
you’ll want to catch it at any rate
let that star be shining upon you;
the lucky ones, unlucky ones, all of you.
for the brave heart deserves a respect
may it venture the world with a circumspect

wishing upon the star,
I yearn for soft touch
from one soul to another
dreaming of adventure

at night, in my front porch,
I close my eyes
and stare up at the sky
and try to recall all the night skies
I have seen through my journey
I listen and gently reach for the memory
when I open my eyes
I realize
there’s glow in my heart
stars of precious moments
wishing me well as I take step forward

I opened my door,
and let the crisp fall breeze enter the room.
I saw the sky was mild blue empty of clouds
I knew not what lied over the horizon
but I knew I must start walking
I took a step.
it was cold, shriveling my skin
but I took another step
because I knew I had to.
I tried to look up at the sky
hoping to see the moon and the stars
because I knew I had to move.

try not to let the gifts fool you
rather than lathering yourself in gold
find discernable diet of restraint to be true;
hunger for growth, which is like fire in cold
when sprinkled like stars in dark night sky
it may shine brighter than moon above high

have you no fear of loneliness?
then perhaps, people shedding is your thing.
shedding away people who don’t

and choose to severe ties anyways
like a meteor shedding away
impure addendums in stratosphere
gliding ever faster, with an ease,
exploding every second with peace
live your life the way you can
let the stars collide
be that as it may turn into a star
or a black hole engulfing all

I stretch my arms
I catch my glimpse

like magma, the star descends
I, standing still, embrace impact
will it crush my bone and core
will it lift me from my corporeal limit?
every second passes like a train
heavy, deadly, and speedy,
But face the challenge in the eye
that is the only way to go.

Open your eyelids wide,
Don’t forget what is true and what is fake,
Baiting on your mind so fragile (yet you do not know)
Silent orcas looms underneath dark shadows of the blue ocean.
Stare up into the sky, ponder upon the nets of constellation,
True north is where you’re bound,
Open your eyes wide and stay vigilant.
