come, stay and let's talk. it's a good day to be alive
gradually, I am making the climb
towards the apex veiled in clouds.
I have tumbled and fell,
and I know I will make the same mistakes,
but at least I know where I am headed to.
it’s a climb that matters,
not that “being at a small spot at the top”
learning to drink water in between
and look after fellow colleagues
is part of the journey
to the end.

I opened my door,
and let the crisp fall breeze enter the room.
I saw the sky was mild blue empty of clouds
I knew not what lied over the horizon
but I knew I must start walking
I took a step.
it was cold, shriveling my skin
but I took another step
because I knew I had to.
I tried to look up at the sky
hoping to see the moon and the stars
because I knew I had to move.
I took another step.

it was a way to let it all go;
simply opening the door
and taking one step after another
leaving all of the junks behind.
holding onto nothing
but a key and a phone
I let myself go
out into the world
pastel blue sky imbued in feather clouds
greeted me like an ocean
I saw and I knew:
this is the world I live in.
오직 모든 것들을 내려놓고
내 골방을 빠져나온 후에야,
내 자신을 해방시키고 난 후에야,
나는 비로소 세상을 보았다.
세상을 본 나는 그래서야 깨달았다.
‘내가 이 세상에 살고 있구나’ 라고.

unlike movies, unlike novels, unlike commercials,
there aren’t time for silence.
each second testifies against (for) your existence
so I say, take that extra step to go a distance
do not be afraid to be naked
to your own conscious, not others’
