when I run into a mishap
I wonder what bad thing I had done in the past.
when a hair follicle falls from my head,
when a ball of ice-cream falls from my cone,
or when I was supposed to be on a Zoom meeting an hour ago,
I dig into my memory bag,
looking for a piece of memory
where I had to apologize.
then it feels rather fair;
the world we live in.

it’s a tricky, making a contract with caffeine
to let it wield my will to the extreme
so I could get work done.
yet let us find a way to have fun
in this chaotic parade of goals and tasks
