let’s be an optimist.
yes, it’s a leap of faith.
I haven’t regretted a jump before,
yet, not all jumps are wise ones too.
that is to say,

Gratitude
a parcel of gift has been given to me.
it glowed like a good warmth
in the middle of a dark whirlwind.
I am grateful for thé generosity of the Giver,
and I vow to do likewise to whom
I may be able to give.

Prevail
confidence you get
when you do not let yourself
pulled down by distractions
and get a good day of work done
is invaluable.
it will allow you to prevail
at the face of hardships.
you will know you have done your best
and learn that the world may not be easy;
hard work does not always equate to
corresponding reward,
but the reward may already be at your heart.

Generosity
a generous love humbled me today.
As I wrestled with hardship and self-criticisms,
an incessant beam of gratitude and love
engulfed the whole world around me.
in it, I felt small for having complained,
measuring and judging all beings.
As I melted in such glow of warmth,
I vowed to pay this forward.

Focus
I am grateful for this fiery focus
one I don’t know where it’s from,
but suddenly appears one day
and solved all problems.
yet I wonder
if it is consuming some part of me as well.

says a harsh thing to you,

it’s the only way to grow,
since no one can live your life for you.

think of no one

more than what you are used to.

Whale
to catch a whale,
I need to let go a few things:
the comfort of a silent room,
the fullness of my belly,
and shading my eyes
away from the redoubtable creature.
once I identify the whale
fear will overwhelm
my awaken mind,
and before it freezes my mind,
I need to dive in
and dance with the whale.

Puzzle
life is a puzzle.
one after another
we face a problem to solve.
I am stuck in this one
and have been so for a while
how do I overcome myself?
too much introspection
too much pressure don’t do much justice.
find a way for loving the others
while loving myself
is one of the hardest problem i see.

Step
gradually, I am making the climb
towards the apex veiled in clouds.
I have tumbled and fell,
and I know I will make the same mistakes,
but at least I know where I am headed to.
it’s a climb that matters,
not that “being at a small spot at the top”
learning to drink water in between
and look after fellow colleagues
is part of the journey
to the end.
