I can’t help but notice
cracks slipping into calluses
as I am running at full speed
somethings do fall apart
but it cannot be stopped
full speed ahead
until we see the glorious end

I found a small candle burning brightly
glowing like a lone star in a dark night
shining on a lone path into solemn plight
Into darkness I set my foot
mustering courage as much as I could

roaring from youthful past
crashing into the beach so vast
destination remains the same
