Sparks

Running through a track in a public park in behind my apartment,

Cores of illuminations surfaces into the darkness, as the sun sets, dusks showers, and darkness seeps from shadows.

Darker the night broods, the crispier and sharper the light becomes, piercing through corneas.

They come through even when you let your eyelids fall down, tired from running all this time.

And when the ultimate light starts approaching the horizon,

Dutifully, silently, the sparks hide themselves within cloaks of the glorious light, solemnly keeping their positions.

For when the time of need comes again,

They shall arise.

Ping

May you have strength,
For a morning dew may be but a single drop,
It is purest of all,
And has seen the wisdom of the world all by itself.

May you have control of self,
For torrents of rain shall stop, and trashing wind shall become a calm breeze,
It is quintessential of all,
And has drawn the essence of everlasting changes in life.

May have radiating happiness,
For this darkness shall pass, and a gloriously shining golden sun shall dawn on the earth to redeem the world,
It is a righteous all along,
And meet with new light face to face, it will shine ever brighter than before.

Cafe

It’s a dance.

Crowded people chats over a cup of tea

Thick rimmed glasses staring at Apple laptops clicking their blinks away with coffee

Dreams, telltales, hopes, and victories flies around in the air, parrying in melody

In this friendly battlefield, a warm smile glanced over, beaming with courage,

An invitation, like a folded silk patiently waiting to be untied, flew in sweet aroma

Tickling it was, yet unnoticed.

Fizzling sunset calmed into a dusk, and then into darkness of silence and timelessness

In this darkness, we’ve met again. Passing by each other again.

Now I hope to see you again. In the eyes, and touch the fire that smelled so pleasant.

Candor

When the gentle breeze in the dusk

Calls me to the path I’d taken long ago,

I’ll go. Pack my suites and a wristwatch

Notebook and a pen in my hand.

I’d trudge through the dark night

Content in companions of stars and a moon

I’d silently walk the road alone again

Bracing for the unknown.

When the sun starts to rise, I’d thank

For being alive, of having seem the light

And keep relaxed but steady gaze forward

When the sun is up high and blazing

Peacefully, as if nothing cold happened

I’d throw a quick glance at back when

the sun starts to set over the horizon of

The ocean beach or clouds over mountains

Smile a smile just to smile.
