although I know rock falls from above
and scissors pierce through a clothing,
i learned one thing
that life cannot be bound by iron shackles.
may you find a window to your soul
through an eye contact,
a memo of stranger,
or a prayer.

come, stay and let's talk. it's a good day to be alive
I just want to hold you
sitting on the hill of green grasses
watching the warm orange sunset
through the lofty clouds over the sky
living a life of a sweet story
over and over, day after day
slow dancing to our rhythms
embraced in the sweet spring air
and softly, smoothly, fall in sleep together.
honestly, that’s what I want.

how do you know you are burning
when you are feeling cold inside?
how do you know you are wearing out
when your time is running out?
how do you know you are in love,
when the heart is aching so much?
how do you know you are lonely
when you are numbed by so much pain?
reflect.
look inside.
yes, it’s hard.
but try.

I sometimes right pompous words.
I talk grand and smart.
but in the end,
I wanted to be seen and appreciated.
to be acknowledged for the work I have done
and get a light pat on the back,
telling myself I have done a good work.
thank you for giving me the attention.
thank you for words of encouragements.
thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I see your warmth, your kindness, and goodness.
I realize I’ve been basking in your good mood.
I appreciate our connectedness
and I wish you well.

layers of thoughts, conversations
over time builds up their own sediments
muddies the mind towards the end of the day
‘strike the iron while it’s hot’, they say
it’s another reminder
that our days are numbered
whatever you do,
to sleep, to play, or to work,
give it your best.
before you go to rest.

at the moment with embrace the full impact:
the pang of shame, regret, guilt, and whatnot;
I know that impulse — impulse to end it all —
but just don’t go yet.
don’t go walking into that darkness yet.
stay a little while.
take a deep breath with me — and
let it go — as naturally as it all should be.
notice the white dots in the dark sky —
shining brightly, traveling across universe —
to meet you at your eyes.
so stay a little while longer.
take it one step at a time.
in time, we’ll get there
and look back at it all and smile.
