perhaps it’s not the end after all
perhaps the winter flower enters hall
of train cars, rumbling, carrying all
towards the destination brighter than tall
statue staring from the above all

come, stay and let's talk. it's a good day to be alive
that moment you know
you just gotta give it a shot?
when your heart is pumping
harder, faster than you can handle
blood rushing through your arteries
electrifying harmonious cacophony
going for it, going for it, going for it
and you go for it!
fibers of your muscles all over your body
bursting like booster rocket fire
rugged breath roaring unceasingly
at the end of the dark road,
you seat by your bike,
catching a respite in incognito

I stared up
out of blue
just to stare at the sky
golden ray of sun
showered onto trees
and brick buildings
I blinked a couple times
observing passerby
moving seamlessly
I felt the touch of the wind
I felt my feet on the ground.
I felt my arms moving on my sides.
then I thought about you.
I am here, alive.
you are there, alive.
how miraculous is it
that we are both alive
at this time and this place?

there are many peaks to attack
but only one set of feet to hike
studiously climbing haphazardous mountains
you would think that it would be only a day
yet the peaks are ever further away
brooding crows perched in tree branches
quick sand giving away the ground
one too many are the hostilities here
carry lightly and stay awake
bears and snakes are nearby and home is a far way to go.

I’ll be there for you
when the whole world
gets larger and heavier
you feel smaller and slower
I’ll be there for you
when the darkness pays a visit
seeping through the gaps of barriers
sending down the chills in the air
I’ll be there for you
because I like the way you smile
because I believe in your hidden warmth
because I really enjoy our time together.

By happenchance, I opened the book
hidden under layers of aged dusts
encrypted sceneries, mysteries, chivalry
revealed as if they had been here all along
chewing on twigs of wise revelry
eloquently and delicately stylished
perhaps the breeze I felt on dusky evening
was once a scent from the long past unended
cheers to you, my old friend.

Running, running, running away
trying to outrun the bullet I fired,
but it’s as fast as the speed of time.
Crying, still trying every waking minutes
under the unforgiving sun so grand to make do
but it’s in the shadows of the memory so clear
in the end, the only way out is to bite the bullet, stare squarely into the eyes of the lions, and pay what is due.

it’s that something in her eyes
dark crystals washed with fjor,
something that cannot be muddied with words
only truth shall pass through those gates
I stared deeper into my own,
wondering if there is more than what I can make out of things. Something, that moves faster than I can detect, is read by her eyes. Hoping there’s a happy beginning from the days of testament, I take another step.

Did you realize
That you have been loved
When you thought you were utterly alone.
Memories of the past are rekindled,
Both the hurtful and joyful moments,
Brightening the dark path that lies ahead.
Yes, I have done wrong a few times,
Yes, I am still working on fixing them.
But I just want you to know
You were in my thoughts
Just as I was with you in the past.

Yes, those words flow sweetly,
Yes, there are smiles and laughters
Yes, these are happy nice timings
But something about those smiling lips
Something behind those gleeful eyes,
Something behind the splitting moments of pauses,
I glimpse at the real you — sitting in the dark corner, silently fishing for something
Silence — could be the antidote at times.
