no time to rest
no time for self pity

and allow what may happen, happen.

work, my man, work.
the vacation is over.
now is the time to move.
do not be fooled
by the lovely landscape
mesmerizing your eyes now
thinly veiled behind it
is a tragedy waiting
unless you work.

Wake up
under the blazing sun,
you slipped
falling into sticky places.
get up now
rise on up
and reach for higher places
with clearer mind.

Clinch
hang in there,
even as the day slips by
through your tight grip
survive the day as best as you can.
hopefully there will be a day to recuperate
once you have your chance,
pounce on it.
until then,
hold on.

Embrace
embrace your faults
leverage it.
if you turn around your faults
you’ll start to see its usefulness.
embrace the good and bad:
they are all yours.
pivot, negotiate, and explain.
if all does not go well,
it’s alright.
at least you know you tried.
even if the whole world is against you,
you will know that about yourself.
keep trying.
it’s not over ‘till it’s over.

sometimes make time for giving.
it’s a world to live in together.
giving make a room for breathing.
who knows
today’s loss can be tomorrow’s gain.
stories of yesterday can bring you up.

humbled at every moment
for my own room to grow
but I won’t dwell on my embarrassment.
I will keep my head even
looking forward to rising days
to take one step after another
and become a better man.
