Sing

we all need a ritual.
a morning tea as the day slowly brightens;
a steamy bath after a long strenuous day;
but once in awhile, sing.
sing a hearty battle song as if it’s the last one;
sing the love of your life as if it’s your first.
a lengthy preparation for the leap of faith
and quick decision to seize the moment
equally matters.
so, when you can,
sing sometimes.

Child girl

her hair ruffled like a city mice
her eyes glimpse deep through the lies
you try to feed her no matter
you explain it’s for the better

she dances among the shadows
when the party is lively
but goes to the lakeside shallows
when no one is looking silently

as the night lingers for long
I wonder what took her song

Anthem

Your quiet eyes glare into a
cosmos, a vacuum space that is
everything

Your heartbeats resonate through
the atmosphere, adjoining a
thousand others’

Your feet and hands are worn, but
they are in command of many skills
that others did not dare to know

Alone against the quiet world,

Unaccompanied, entangled in this maze,

Each of us sings,

Singing our anthem to our soul.

Promise

Lips of green tree leaves touch
On a peacefully quiet summer evening
Smooth sliver of wind loftily engulfs both
Holding each other softly close caressing

In darkness, their shapes dissolve
Wholly together, throbbing halves evolve
Into stream of movements, rumbling,
Rolling, and spinning together twinkling

A morning comes, a clear drew rests on
Each of their forehead, cooling off, or
Shedding tears, unexpected, unpracticed
Smiling into each other, satisfied.
