when you are on a dueling match with someone
you need to give it all you’ve got.
your energy, your prepared muscle memories,
and most of all, your spirit.
and hopefully, it was a worthwhile way to spend the time.

come, stay and let's talk. it's a good day to be alive
mornings begins with a drizzle of cold coffee
gulping down with an almond milk
my mind submerged into a serene focus
words I had not known flows on my keyboard
hammering a period and flipping a sentence.
some say it’s a marathon, but I’d call it a sprint.
you give all you’ve got while you remember
your body weighs your mind down
and the time limit is up:
it’s time for lunch.
good luck on your next run of writing.

As a teenager,
I rebelled against the old, unfairness, and predictable
As a college student,
I rebelled against the poverty, classicism, and narrow-mindedness
In early to mid 20s,
I rebelled against condescension, prejudice, and determinism
In my late 20s,
I rebelled against oppression, falsification, and aggression.
I took, I gave, I thanked, I forgave,
but at the top of it all, I loved.
if my legacy will be of worth,
let it be for those of my beloved:
friends, family, and the mankind.

today, I made a resolution.
I will become a professor.
I will run each minute with full force
Recording insights, knowledge, and paths
Opening eyes and tears to the world.
I will take up this challenge
and dance with it,
giving it my full attention and dedication.
let’s see what the future brings.

let us stand fearlessly towards the rising sun
face the glorious beam of the morning sun
silently, profoundly deep into essence
no dance, no words, but the glance
everything instilled to this moment
let us solemnly rejoice the present
the glance is enough
for I understand your thoughts
I’ll be there soon
know you are in my mood

like a flock of birds solemnly flying in line,
time ebbs and webs, leaving traces of its trail
paradoxically, faster we run, slower world moves.
yet, regardless, to fill this one minute,
with everything I’ve got:
the sweat. the tears. the cries. the smiles.
Leaving no excuses nor regret.
I have answered to my call the best I could.
1.10.2023
this exhaustion, is like an amorphous glass
looking through it, the world reveals itself
within the reach of my palm’s grasp
but my arm wouldn’t stretch out regardless
if the light goes out, it will be a dark night.
as silence fills in the air
and stars, indifferently shines,
I lay down, wondering what the future holds.
1.9.2023
“to withstand things that I can’t”
may be a modern underrated life element
so much power we yield when we want
stop and wonder if all’s gone in a moment
what strength we have left
to withstand all that’s f’d
perhaps we run as fast as we can on bubbles
one day we’ll find gone are all troubles
who knows what future brings
but withstanding pain does sting
to be honest, I am not sure how it happened.
it is as though it was meant to be.
I sat, stared, and let what may be heard, heard
yet, conversations flowed.
felt, deeper feelings of warm glow
thanked, all those who shared a moment with me.
perhaps, if we run each moment with all we have,
we will at least be able to stand on this land
and know that we have done our best
and leave the rest for the rest.
