Lone dreamer

My dear,

I loved you with my sincerest heart. That, I can say with the weight of a tombstone hung on my tongue.

As I lay on this dusty road, tossed after being dragged all over the world at the back of a donkey’s cart, I wondered where all the spirits had gone to.

Where did the drumming sound of the hearts, howling of war cries, and the clenched fist of resolution, that vowed never to let anything get in the way of the marvelous pursuit of our beliefs?

The whispers of serene blessings, the quiet Venus in the sky of dawn, where did you go?

But I must tell you now: I loved you. Gone are the principles, power, and people. Yet should face to love you again, I’d jump into that whirlpool of fire to hold your hand.

So, my dear,

Oh my dearest dear.

Please know that I love you so.

Emergency Lever

Remember, upon emergency please pull this emergency lever.

if the sky starts to look like the jaundiced skin after hit by a baseball hard,
please pull this emergency lever.

if you wake up one day and can’t one bit
‘cause dark shadows are pulling you into the earth,
please pull this emergency lever.

if you find yourself hurting others with a thousand blade from your tongue,
please pull this emergency lever.

remember, upon emergency, please pull this emergency lever.

Song

A summer night, as tree branches thread throughout the dark sky salted with stars,

The whole world swayed as the hammock weaves by thousands of threads swayed

Crimson ambers of cigarette quickly falling through the wholes, barely missing the threads,

Like an accident, falls into the wine glass,

Bursting with flame that cannot contain itself

I don’t care if it hurts

I wanna have control

So the song went, as the alcohol got thicker and hotter.

Prayer

Please, look after yourself.

Let your heart bloom into beautiful vignettes of your memory

Let your fluttering wings spread beyond the horizon of sky and wield gusts for wind vortex larger than the abyss of a black hole

Let your body move with passion and freedom.

But please, look after yourself.

Scent

You know,

just like how the crimson sunlight caramelized a forest of tall dull-white buildings,

just like holding that book open in an empty library watching those buildings among dusts suspended in the air,

just like that aroma of coffee dancing in the atmosphere to the cadence of that jazz,

just the scent of that flashing smile shook my heart too fast to realize

that it’s been always buried deep within for too long of a time.

You know.

Gratitude

Thank you, for allowing me to see this day light, a stream of crystals glistening the atmosphere that I breath in.

That you, for allowing me to memorize the sound of the wind swooshing like an ocean wave crashing into the bank of sand.

Thank you, for this tantalizing droplet of water, respite of the spirit and body, as it quenches the unresting soul in the heart.

Lava

Try hold on to this pure gold lava,

steaming with vigorous heat energy,

Like a baby dragon scrambling to get out of

A soft, sturdy rock shell.

Pain seems to be a constant reminder that

Life is limited and comfort is overrated.

Pain is the reason I focus and the ask for the reason why I sing and dream,

Dreaming of the freedom
