Grace

Do not let your ego pass you by unchecked
For the flip side of honor may arrive.

Just watch how easy it is the beauty of nature submerges in darkness.

Still, go forth with your chest spreading wing bones widely
Embracing all, good and bitter, rise.

It’s a journey, ups and downs.
It’s a dance, gains and losses.

Smile, smile, my love.

Promise

Lips of green tree leaves touch
On a peacefully quiet summer evening
Smooth sliver of wind loftily engulfs both
Holding each other softly close caressing

In darkness, their shapes dissolve
Wholly together, throbbing halves evolve
Into stream of movements, rumbling,
Rolling, and spinning together twinkling

A morning comes, a clear drew rests on
Each of their forehead, cooling off, or
Shedding tears, unexpected, unpracticed
Smiling into each other, satisfied.

Candor

When the gentle breeze in the dusk

Calls me to the path I’d taken long ago,

I’ll go. Pack my suites and a wristwatch

Notebook and a pen in my hand.

I’d trudge through the dark night

Content in companions of stars and a moon

I’d silently walk the road alone again

Bracing for the unknown.

When the sun starts to rise, I’d thank

For being alive, of having seem the light

And keep relaxed but steady gaze forward

When the sun is up high and blazing

Peacefully, as if nothing cold happened

I’d throw a quick glance at back when

the sun starts to set over the horizon of

The ocean beach or clouds over mountains

Smile a smile just to smile.
