Humility

Hold your heart as though your chest is transparent.

In your thoughts, always keep what is right.

In your words out of mouth, make sure they are clean.

Frugal in what you treat yourself,

but be mindful of quality of your meals.

Prudence is a virtual, so is the wisdom.

Have courage, peace in center, and clarity in eyes.

Quietness

When you leave a crowded party

into the embrace of solitude,

make sure you remember the warmth.

Make sure you remember why you stepped forward,

instead of lounging in the sofa.

It’s not the wilderness or the thrill.

There is a meaning, an invisible creation of mind.

Please take care as you go forward.

Depart

As the engine roars,

thrusting the world forward,

fast enough to not make the pain last too long,

you feel hot tears rolling down your cheeks.

Once again, into the unknown.

To the world outside of the comfort zone

and into the world of challenges, lessons, and growth.

Remember the purpose of this move.

And the plane floated into the air

as if it’s the world of its own

and to roar down to the earth again

let those find their way forward.

Ephemeral

It’s the last dance that I remember the most.

When notebooks, clothes, and glasses change,

what I remember are the feeling, the thoughts, and the sceneries.

Like a candlelight in darkness, my memory is ingrained.

A breath becomes a word, a feeling, and a promise.

A knowing look pierces the core of unspoken thought.

A gesture unlocks the familiarity of countless moments.

Ephemeral, our moment is.

And we hold it without a regret,

brimming with hope, reverence, and gratitude.

Purpose

I remember the crisp air, clear sunlight

elegantly, silently laying down on a balcony

of a wooden library deck through tree branches

as I sat still in a chair, staring up to the sky.

A sense of invigorating purpose

beaming within me resonated with the scene.

It is my wish that I will remember it all

as I march into a new chapter.

Essence

As if to awake myself

just before falling into deep sleep,

I reached my hand out to grasp

the passing memories of the past.

The trees that reach out its branch like outstretched hands

still remained vividly in my memory

as I stared down at the old tree trunk

its rings stopped like a clock hands.

I pulled my gaze up

and started to walk towards the unknown horizon

knowing this moment of peace may not last

and it’s the fight against the time to reach the goal before it all ends.
